Armored cable refers to the cable with metal material armouring protection layer. The purpose of adding the armouring layer to the cable is not only to enhance the tensile strength, compressive strength and other mechanical protection to extend the service life, but also to improve the anti-interference performance of the cable through shielding protection.

The commonly used armouring materials include steel strip, steel wire, aluminum strip, aluminum tube, etc. The steel strip and steel wire armouring layer have high magnetic permeability, good magnetic shielding effect, can be used to resist low-frequency interference, and can enable the armored cable to be directly buried and laid without passing through the pipe, and are cheap and high-quality in practical use.

Copper wires of different specifications and different numbers are twisted together according to a certain arrangement order and stranding pitch, and then become a conductor with larger diameter. After this kind of twisted large-diameter stranding, the conductor is more flexible than single copper wire with the same diameter. The wire made has good bending performance, and it is not easy to break during swing test. It is easier to meet the requirements for some wire materials that require softness (such as medical grade wire materials).
